As promised, I had the chance to look through the photos from Bergen. Here are some of my favorites. It was a great trip. A really lovely city and very cozy.
^a nice view from a park bench where we sadly didn’t get to have sushi.
^we snuck into a little playground and this building had a sweet mural.
^it also had a cool rope-climb-y thing
^the houses looked so cozy!
^this cool thing from the science museum showed what it would look like if maria and i had a kid
^and we saw the Norwegian Bill Murray on the train up the mountain.
^supposedly it rains 300 days a year in Bergen, but mostly it rained at night.
What a fun trip. It makes me want to go traveling more and seeing more. I’m hungry for adventure!
I haven’t updated in forever ever, I know. But anyway, here is a little video from a walk around Drammen back in March. It’s about time this snow starts melting. It’s Spring!
On another note, Maria and I just got back from Bergen, a city on the west coast of Norway, so hopefully I’ll be putting up some pictures from the trip soon. Just have to get them off the camera.
I’m pretty excited for christmas coming up, but i think it’ll be really strange being in another place, with another family. I shoullllllld be finding out on Tuesday whether i can stay here another semester or not. I sure hope i can.
I’ve been shooting a lot of film lately and so I want to post a few shots up here from the Smena 8m camera i bought while i was here.
^a strange double exposure.
^celebrating a job well done.
^just chillin’
Oh and I realized i haven’t linked to the video i made for my project soooo….
I am finished with my class work for this semester! This was the longest week/weekend of my life, but now i’m free! So i’m going to Oslo tomorrow with Peter to look for a job maybe and take some pictures.
I wish i had some black and white film, but I’ll just have to make due with pretending using some digital pics. I’m going to bring holga and the smena tomorrow so we’ll see what happens.
got some holgas developed and thanks to the lovely double exposures (or quad exposures) the photo technician thought he messed up the film and didn’t charge me for the prints.
see if you can find all 4 Peters (or maybe 5) and both Linns.
So i think it’s a little ironic that the last post was about autumn and the next day it snows like crazy. It doesn’t feel much like fall anymore. Anyway, of course i had to take a few snowy pictures, but i don’t think i got anything amazing. i’ll have to try again later. Something tells me i’ll have plenty of chances to take snow pictures in norway.
I woke up yesterday morning, opened the curtain and this is what i saw. Woah! How did that happen???
I love how quaint these little colorful houses look with snow all on their roofs.
And there were some ducks enjoying the snow too. i didn’t really get any good shots of them before they saw me and flew but i wanted to include them in here.
Well, the first snow was really fun. Hopefully i don’t get sick of snow before december rolls around. Now all i need is a fireplace in my tiny apartment.
So I’ve been seeing all these awesome fall pictures on the internet around flickr and such and i just realized that i haven’t really posted any. Deciding that i needed to quickly remedy the situation, i searched through some of my pics in Aperture and found a few that were ok. So here are a few nice fall pictures from when i was at Vigelandsparken.
